How does a photo become a personalized children’s book?
What is personalized: a name, a character and an adventure
Name-only personalization and photo personalization are different. A name-only book may put a name into a fixed story. A photo-personalized BraveFables book also uses a photo to help create the child’s illustrated likeness. It is an interpretation in a cinematic storybook style, not a photograph pasted onto every page.
Choose the adventure for its subject as well as its artwork. A Yosemite waterfall story, a volcano-cake science fair and a whale’s journey home offer different reading experiences even when the same child is the hero. The setting, plot and Explorer Facts belong to the selected adventure.
Which photo should you choose?
Use one clear photo of the child with their face looking forward, even lighting and no other person competing for attention. A sharp face reference is more useful than a dramatic pose. Avoid a face hidden by hands, heavy shadow or an extreme angle.
After the character appears, compare recognizable details such as face shape, hair and the overall expression. The approval step is the place to decide whether the interpretation feels right. Do not approve a character you are uncomfortable using just to move to the next screen. A sample option lets you explore the experience without submitting a child’s photo, but that sample is not personalized evidence for your own child.
What happens before and after the free preview?
An authorized adult, such as a parent or guardian, provides the requested details, chooses a photo and reviews the illustrated character. Story scenes begin after character approval. The free preview then lets you inspect the personalized direction before deciding whether to order. No card is needed to preview.
Check the spelling of the name, the character and the story choice rather than treating the preview as a completed printer file. If you order, the team completes and reviews the paid book before printing. Preview approval, payment and approval of a finished print file are different stages; a sample screen is not a promise that every final page has already been produced.
What should a parent check before ordering?
The physical product is an 11 × 8.5 inch landscape hardcover with 30 interior pages and premium-color illustrations. Use the selected product page to check its current price and offer, and read the shipping and refund terms before ordering. Estimated delivery is 10–12 business days after order confirmation, not a guaranteed arrival date.
Photo processing is part of personalization. Read the privacy notice for the actual collection, storage, processing and deletion practices rather than assuming that an uploaded photo is never stored. Do not share private preview or order links: they can contain access information intended for your family.

Questions parents ask
Is this a photograph inside a book?
No. The photo is a reference for an illustrated storybook character. An authorized adult reviews that character before story scenes begin.
Do I need a card to see a personalized preview?
No card is needed for the free preview. You decide whether to order after reviewing the personalized direction.
Is the free preview the final print proof?
No. The team completes and reviews the paid book before printing. A preview is not the final printer file.
